WOMEN AIRFORCE SERVICE PILOTS OF WWII

Seeing hundreds of Photographs brought back so many memories to me as a young boy 12 yrs old growing up everyday watching and listening to the drone of training planes flying over my home all day and night.. I lived on the west side of Sweetwater and my dreams were to fly myself but I never qualified to fly and so I became a B-29 gunner during Korean War. One would hurt so much when there was a crash at Avenger Field. These women were so courageous and so determined that I never forgot and always wanted to praise them. 'BLESS 'EM ALL' and thanks for the Memories. This Webpage dedicated to The Fly Girls W.A.S.P of Avenger Field, Sweetwater, Texas. They flew off into the Wild Blue Yonder creating History for Women as part of the of the United States Air Force tradition.
